I had an awesome day today I got to sleep in and watch Lupin the 3rd until I fully shook off my groggy morning fog. I started my morning with some roadwork after sleeping I jogged about 4 miles to my twins because I didn't want to wait for the bus and I needed to keep up my conditioning anyway. I was fairly worn out but I enjoyed my trip over. I had some coffee and light brunch with Brian, Finn and Pancake. We relaxed for a bit then I had Brian drop me off at the Starbucks since he had a meeting that would take up most of his afternoon. I walked back to the Dojang and straighten up a bit before students started to arrive from their schools. I swept and vacuumed the Dojang in preparation of classes today. I got to assist Master Randle in her classes today. Its always a pleasure to learn from her instruction and the classes went well. The new student in her class Maximus really seemed to thrive in class and was already excited to catch up to their peers in class. I followed up and let them know our process for signing up and that the program director would be in contact. We also had a new student in Master Randle's other class Vivaansh. He was also very enthusiastic about participating in class. When following up at the end of class his mother expressed some concerns regarding his attentiveness. I reassured her that it was mainly being in a new space and that once I worked with him directly he seemed to be more on task and focused. I let her know that when following up with the program director I would let them know her concerns and have them contact her regarding class scheduling , uniform and etc. I also had a fantastic time in Instructor Garrett's class everyone worked up a sweat and had fun while doing so. I finished the day in Master Burkart class and in typical fashion for him at least I enjoyed a strenuous and upbeat pace accompanied with light hearted story telling of his formerly torturous years as a student. We also had a new prospective student stop in for his class Dustin was excited to come in but also nervous since he doesn't have any martial arts experience. I reassured him as did everyone else that he had nothing to be nervous about but also that I could relate to the feeling as I was absurdly nervous before I ever came to my Dojang. He also made mention that he was coming to take part in Taekwondo because he has been dealing with issues with a bully as a Freshman in High School. I let him know that I understood the situation and empathized with him let him know it wasn't his fault and that we have more than a couple of solutions to help him deal with this issue. I'm finishing up for the evening as the PMAA class is ending. Y'all have an awesome evening take care.
