It was a good day partnered with Master Burkart for black belt class. We worked hard on the hapkidos and self defenses that Master Evins had us doing. I've been home for a short spell and did my physical requirements. I'll be spending the evening at a housewarming party for some old friends, so I have to get the rest of everything done before then.
Today i went to my black belt class and helped with the lower belt class. I go a leadership credit, class assistance, a mentor session, and a mentee session.
Today i woke up early and did requirements and i went to school and black belt class and sparring. Then i ate dinner and played a game with my friend. i am going to atlanta tomorrow. Goodnight.
I was going to go to Harrisburg for class but ultimately decided not to, since I still needed to work on Double Stick 2. I am trying to get that down and commit it to memory as much as possible. I have the recordings for it, but it is kind of fast. Other than class, I went to the gym, got cycle workouts done. and got breakfast with my sisters. Not much happened today, but I am grateful for having a chill day.
Got my requirements done early so I could have some prep time for 8:00 am class. I have been practicing so much self defense I feel like my forms have been lacking.
This morning I had black belt class. We worked on hopkito, choreyo and bo cho self defense. I’ve been getting better at hopkito. Afterwards, I finished off the physical requirements before my piano class at 10:30. I want to learn a new piece for my dad’s birthday. He loves me playing piano. I’ve been missing a lot of piano classes lately, so I’ve been missing it. Then I came back and finished my run. I ate and had a quick shower becuase I had to get dressed for my dance recital. I do Indian classical dance, bharatanatyam, and the costume, hair and everything is complex. My mom got me ready pretty quickly though. I spent basically the rest of my day at the recital place because I was preforming 2 dances and I had to do a costume change and then wait for a long time because there are 2 genres/sections...
August 22 - Entry #14 Woke up and went to school. Came home and took a nap. After napping, I played some video games, did requirements, and ate dinner. Relaxed the rest of the day. Getting ready for bed now.. got another early morning for Saturday black belt class.
Today after football I got chipotle with my friend. I got a game tomorrow. I’m watching football now.
Today was my sister’s birthday yay. So first I went to school then after that I did my requirements then I went to black belt class after that we went to our grandparents house to celebrate my sister’s birthday.
this is it. the weekend before school. I unfortunatley have to shuffle my classes because I am being forced to take chem & physics at the same time I do like math so i'll probably enjoy the course rigor, however I just wish I had more of a say in this fact.
Today I slept in until 1:00PM so I didn't have a lot of time to spare but I did have enough time to do my requirements and rebuild a LEGO set before sparring. After my time was up I went to sparring class and had a fun time.
Today was fun. At school on fridays we usually have hour classes before lunch, then after lunch we do a lot of different activities. Today we did this thing where we went to all the different rooms and played different games. Our team lost most of them but they were really fun. My favorite was this game where you had a stack of cups and you had to throw paper balls at the other teams tower to try and knock it down and the other person can block it but only with one hand. It was really fun and i was good at the blocking part but not the throwing part because I dont have really good aim. After that we went to our first day of clubs. i got into art club and we just talked about what we wanted to do and then people volunteered to run for club...
Today was ok. I got up and did almost all my requirements. My mom came back home early since she said I was not answering my phone. I relaxed for a good time. My mom came downstairs and unplugged the ps5. She said I had to practice and finish requirements. When I finished my exercises she said I still had to practice even though I didn't do my mile. I had ran out of time because of this. I went to class and took black belt class and sparring. For black belt class we did way more curriculum than normal, which was really good. I still need to work on 1st dan self defense and have time set with Master Foster for Monday. In sparring we did some new drills today which was nice. After class I went to Jim and Nicks and ran when I got home. Now I am relaxing...
today was really boring. i had my first blueprinting class and then sat in my car until 11am which is when my next class started. after school i came home, got ready, and went to TKD. i left that and got some dinner. now im gonna relax.
Today we had our pep-ralley. It was an hour and a half long. And it was the best pep-ralley I ever attended. I got to compete in a team competition. We lost though. It was still close. But the pep-ralley was so fun. I lost my voice because I was yelling so much. And I came home and went to taekwondo. Then I did sparring. That was fun. And I don’t have to run today. So that's good.

Today when I woke up for school, I remembered I had my back to school dance or I got into black and purple clothes because my friend group decided he should wear black and purple. Today I had two quizzes and I thought that they were pretty easy so I hope that I got a good grade on both. After school I got this big headache so I couldn’t go to the first football game tonight, but it’s ok because I am going tomorrow to get my MRI to make sure my head is ok. Now i am gonna go to sleep.

Today we had a pretty normal school day and I was glad that it had rained overnight because Theo's pumpkin plants have started to flower. But I'm very upset with myself because I left a couple books outside and they got drenched which is very disappointing.
It was a pretty good day at work today. I was productive but able to slip away in short spurts to get requirements done. I'm making good progress but still struggling with Hapkido. They're very hard to practice in the air by yourself. On a completely unrelated note, it's my brother's birthday today, and we had a great chat when I called him.
Day 2 of color belt testing! My car broke down again (It seems to have done so a lot this summer), so my sisters had to use the Prius to get to school, and I was left with no car, so I had to ride my bike to work. Testing today had more people than yesterday, which is to be expected, especially with the red and high red belt testing at the end of the day. I ended up staying at the dojang until around 8:30, so I got home pretty late. We have 5 new bocho dan belts, so I hope to see them at future black belt classes.
Today at school I had a test and it was kinda easy and my day was ok but after school I went home and chilled and ate chicken sandwiches which were good. That's all goodnight.

I woke up at 12 and I wanted to go back to sleep but my sister wanted me to make her food. This was kind of annoying, but I made her some hashbrowns, like always. an hour later my dad asks me and my sisters what we want for lunch. We got cookout, and it was soooo good. I finished all of my requirements and after a while I went to my open house for my school, I met my teachers who were pretty cool, especially my social studies teacher. I also got some sno-cones after. It was a pretty good day. I just need to finish my clothes so see you later.

So today was tiring and the main thing in the morning was school obviously and in the afternoon / evening there was testing I helped out at the 4:00 and futzed around for most of the 6:00 but it was still pretty tiring anyway bye
This week has been busy but calmer than last week, which I appreciate we've had color belt testing the last two days. I always really enjoy watching the color belts test, especially board breaking. It's just super fun to watch and it helps me keep in mind my goal to be able to break two bricks this black belt testing! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
So today was a normal day at school except they assigned us 3x as much homework as yesterday, after school I went home and got my homework and requirements done, had dinner, then went to assist at taekwondo.
I forgot to journal yesterday but i kinda forgot what i did. I like journaling because it helps me remember things i did throughout the day that I would have otherwise forgot. Anyways today was just a normal day at school. At the end of the day we went outside because our teacher wanted to play hot potato but some people got really competitive and throwing the ball really hard so we had to go back inside. I like how even though I'm literally in an Early college we do a lot of things that are like sterotypically for younger kids (like playing games or doing fun activities) but it really just helps us relax and be more connected with each other so thats nice. It also makes regular high school look scary so i know why a lot of my friends that go to regular high school think its weird...

Worked with some of our color belts on getting ready for testing. Its always nice to see them finally grasp a move or that "ah-ha" moment when they finally understand how to execute something properly.

Today I had a doctors appointment and after I went to school. School was pretty chill but during study hall I got a huge headache and felt like I was going to pass out. When I got home I went to sleep to see if I was just tired. When I woke up I still felt really bad so I decided not to go to taekwondo. I ate dinner and now I’m gonna go to bed.
Today was an okay day because I didn't have anything to do. I went to the doctor for my annual checkup and things went okay other than having to get a shot and give blood. I came home and my mom cooked breakfast before she went to work. I relaxed for a while and then did my requirements. I just finished my mission statement draft. Today was a struggle from start to finish. I have been exhausted all day , no matter what I did I could not sleep yawning and the bobble head. So in between sessions I jumped on the treadmill and did my requirements. It helped, but untimely on my lunch break I crashed on the couch. I can definitely say I am ready for the weekend and some good rest time .
Today it was my open house I am going to a different school for 6th grade so I went to meet my teachers. Now my mom is taking out the rest of my hair.
Today was a chill day. I found out that the pep-ralley is on Friday. The good thing about pep-rallies are they get you out of class. They just waste time. And that's perfect for me because I don’t want to be in class. And I really hope it's during Latin. That is the worst class I have this semester. It is so boring. The only problem is we're probably going to do it last period. And leave after.
For the past 3 days I've been trying out the Do Jang in Belmont, I really like it because it's a very small class and a large space. Master Shin is a very good teacher and is very helpful. I like the sparring classes because they have good music on during them and I also like the line drills. I really like the Belmont classes.
Went to 2 good classes last night and then got up for my run this morning. It's been a rough day for my physical requirements. Doing my updated pushup / situp / etc schedule, and everything is harder than it was 2 days ago. I'm going slower and not getting as many done. I hope this is a blip and i'll be back up to strength in a couple of days. I've ramped up my protein intake today to try to help a little, and had some extra fruit with lunch to help fuel my body.
Ugh! I can’t go to sparring class today! I had to miss yesterday’s class and I have to miss today’s! Thankfully I am going tomorrow. See you all tomorrow!
I am doubling up again, as I forgot to journal yesterday, probably because I was so exhausted after sparring. I did my requirements early both days, and then yesterday I went to the Belmont sparring class. It was good, and I got quite a workout, and also some great stretching in. Today I'm going to try to get to that class again, if I'm able to leave work early enough.
Today at school I found out my band is going to dollywood in the spring and we are competing and going on rides so that will be fun. After school I went to taekwondo and got a mentee session in and got my credits. Then I went to run and I ate dinner when I got home. Goodnight.
So today we had the shortest two color belt testings (if you don't count make-up testings) I think I've ever seen in my time working at King Tiger. 3 people came to test at 4:00 and 10 showed up at 6:00. The 4:00 testing was done in less than 30 minutes, giving us over 90 minutes of in-between time where we weren't really doing much. Unfortunately, I was still in quite a bit of pain right around my heel, stretching already was way more painful than it should have been because of that, so I mostly just spent that time stretching (I'm still working on flexibility goals, and I have gotten to the point where I gotta stretch every day, otherwise it doesn't feel right). Today was a good day. I woke up earlier than normal again, I feel back to sleep though. After I woke up again I started doing requirements and got all of them done. After that I took a shower, ate lunch and relaxed and talked with some of my friends until my mom got home. When she did we went to taekwondo. I helped out with a class today. It was nice to be able to help again, I got a group in small groups and I feel like I did good. I came back home and did my test answers. The Belmont crew made us feel welcome and Master Shin definitely put us through a good workout during both classes. I rucked a bit over 2 miles this morning and the weather was so nice. I wanted to get up early, but I couldn’t drag myself out of bed. Have no idea what I’ll do when school starts. I finished my requirements around noon and then watched some TV. Then I went on my run with my dog. I got a little bit slower time and didn’t run as much as I usually do but I had to stop multiple times and went slower because of my dog since I was holding his leash. When I came home my dog threw up on the carpet so that was frustrating but he isn’t sick, it was just because the run made him nauseous I guess. I headed to sparring and black belt class a little later. Sparring was a little shorter today because we started late but black belt class was pretty fun. I got to work on hopkito and my stick form. Just had dinner and need to go shower.
Got up and to the gym, no class today but hit the weights. Work was busy and went quickly, Abigail and I went over to Harrisburg for their blackbelt class, it was cask to see how other dojangs do things. It’s like we all speak the same language, just with a slight accent! 2 more days until the beach!
So today was exhausting basically most of what we did today was shopping shopping shopping so we went to Aldi, Costco and I personally did not go to Harris teeter or Target but instead I went to my first fraternus night of the year and helped out in a testing and got a mentor session in it was very exhausting but otherwise good 👍
Yesterday I went to taekwondo. It was cool. Parker was there. And today was cool too. I already did my run for the day. And this is the last thing I have to do today. Well I have to take the trash out too. I can’t wait til the weekend. Because every weekend I get my 2k rewards. And I get my new player cards. But it all starts Friday. And I have been hearing stuff about a prep-rally Friday or Thursday. But I don’t really know.
This evening has been a really tough one for me. I had soccer game that started at five. It went into double overtime and then went onto Pk's. Which we ended up losing in Pk's. The whole game lasted about 2 and a half hours. So it sucks to play that hard for that long and not come out on top. But it's great for how hard we fought because 4 of my teammates had cramps and three have injuries. I'm proud of how hard we fought and we'll get it next time.
Today I went to school and it was pretty chill. I came home ran for a while and did my requirements. I had to get ready for sparring class tonight. Sparring was really fun but I did hurt my leg. So I came home and iced it. Now I’m gonna go to bed.

Today I left school early to go to the docters office and I found out that I have asthma so yay. But after that I went home to my dads house and I did my requirements, plus im about to go to bed for school so I can get ready for my "test". But today was okay.

Today, I woke up, waited for the bus, and while I waited, I did my requirements. It was kinda weird to do the sit ups, but I did them. Then I read my book. I got my book yesterday and I finished it today. It was a huge manga.
We had a major failure in our systems overnight, thank goodness I got up early and got requirements done, because I've been heads down most of the day for work. I was originally going to go on a run this morning, but last minute decided to not run and do poomsae / self-defense / etc instead. THat choice worked out. I'll run tomorrow.

Tuesday's are my long day , I get to the Dojang directly after work. I help with a class, take classes and then do PMAA. Nothing was unusual about today. I completed my class assistance credit and did some review with the color belts. Tomorrow is sparring and black belt class, I am kinda looking forward to that , it is just very challenging.

Worked with a fresh student today on some of the basic stances and kicks. Then we worked on Self Defense and Poomsae in the advanced class.
August 19 - Entry #13 Woke up and went to school. We had an Envirothon meeting after school so I missed my first class today, but I just help with the lower belts so it wasnt too bad to miss it. But, I went from the meeting straight to the dojang for my second class to help with other belts, and then my black belt class. I practiced my back falls. Still need to work on them, but I am improving. After class I came home and ate dinner then got ready for bed. I only have school tomorrow, no meeting or classes after so im excited to have a slow day. Good night!
Today I woke up a little early and finished my run. I got a much better time today so that made me happy! After I was chilling and then I ate brunch and after some time I finished the rest of my requirements. Then I was practicing piano for some time. Later on I went to my tae kwon do class, I helped out in the junior class and attended the senior class after. I finally got a session in with my mentee. I came home and had dinner. Heading to sleep now.
Today was the final day of preparing people for testing. I woke up early and did normal cycle workouts. Work was pretty straightforward if not once again harder than it was last week. Great news: my knee isn't bugging me so much when I do my stretching anymore! Not so great news: my ankle is once again in a lot of pain similar to earlier in the summer. I hope it's better tomorrow. Anyway, I am anticipating being able to make some progress in a breaking routine and a creative form once I can get an hour or two just by myself to do a bit of training. I hope I can find some time to get somewhere to do that.
