Candidate Journals

Because this is my audit cycle, I do not take the written test this cycle. However, with the extra time I have since Charlotte have basically shut down, I am able to look at the written test every now and then to keep the answers in my mind. There are a lot of questions to remember and I don't want to try to relearn them all when I start the next cycle.

Today was pretty tiring I had to stay up late and work on a presentation. I just helped out and took class but I couldn't do a mentor session because he had to make a video but I should be doing one tomorrow.

today was a great day because I went to school and had ELA maps test.then I went to tae kwon do and had class.after that I had sparing class.

Today nothing new or interesting happened till this very afternoon. When I was on my way to class I saw something for the first time. Some one through their drink outside their car. Now I know that it’s not that exciting but that just shows how uneventful my day was. Hope you had a better day then me. Bye.  9/20/18

Today was a very busy day. After school, I had cheer from 2:30 to 4:30 outside. It was so hot, so I'm excited for winter. After that, I came home to get some food, then I went to dance. I had dance from 6 to 7, but I had black belt class at 7:25, so I had to leave dance early. We are working on our group competition dance. I went to tae kwon do and got home at about 9. I started my homework and ate dinner. I still have more homework to do, but I'm leaving it for study hall in the morning. 

There is one week left until the physical and written test. I am continuing to work on my physical requirements and studying for my written test. While I feel like I am ready, I won't study any less. 

I'm having fun fixing my own meals this.  Some are good and others we won't talk about.   Today I will make an attempt to get more out of this body than normal.  The closer we the more difficult the task.  But I haven't given up.  

Today I was busy for most of the day. After school I went to the bank with my mom do to some things, after that we went to get something to eat and when we got home i had a few things to do and then i had to go to Tae Kwon Do after that.

School today felt long.  Got home knocked out some homework and did some TKD stuff.  I also went to sparring class tonight which was good because I had not been able to go for the past 2 weeks.

Over the past few weeks I've been working on applying to colleges. So far I've applied to four of the five schools I want to attend. With this almost done, it leaves me more time to focus on my current school and the cycle. I've got plenty of studying to do for both. 

It feels like I can actually see the light now even though it's still several weeks away.  At times it has seemed like I wouldn't make it but now I am feeling better about it.  I have not kept to the pace that I've needed to be but am trying to get there while juggling my other activities.   This cycle stuff is more difficult than I expected.  It's easy to see how important it is to practice at least for a few minutes every day.  Just doing that can ensure that you are maintaining your skills. 

Today is the final day I have to journal YAY!!!!!!! Today I had a busy morning, first I woke up and went to chick-fil-a to get breakfast then, I went to the barber shop to get a hair cut. After that I went with my mom to get her eyelashes done and it took forever. After getting her eyelashes done then I did a training montage with my mom and got our falls and roles and everything else done. After our long montage we went to the movies to go watch the Meg and we are not going to the beach anytime soon. Right now I just did 10 minutes of jump rope and I’m a little tired. I hope everyone had a relaxing day!!!!!!!

Got the boys off to school. Wife is at work. Finally, a quiet day. Working a little TKD and doing my essays. Cook some dinner in a bit and then off with the family to King Tiger.

Today I had a bunch of stuff to do and a lot of time. But there was one problem time. I was pretty sleepy for most of the time. For some reason I not really awake till 2 pm. When I got it all done and checked the clock all I said was "What happened to time?!" 

I don't believe that I actually awaken and got out bed as early as 8:30 this morning.   Had an English muffin and mug of coffee and I went to play Pickleball.   I will have my ibuprofen .

Today was a great day! I don't even know why, but I've been in such a happy mood all day. I mentored Taylor, then went to dance. The group dance rehearsals start tomorrow, so I'm so excited! I'm also working out my solo dance too. I think I chose a song, and I need to work out the times for my practices. We also have dance on Saturday, but that's when the physical and written test is, so I told her I'm gonna miss it. 

Today was a teacher workday, so I had plenty of time to do my requirements and catch up on homework. Getting up and running in the morning was very interesting because it was chillier than I’m used to, but that felt really good as it cooled me down. In the evening, I volunteered at my Engineering Explorers Post, which was really fun.

Attended blackbelt class last night and I enjoyed the class.  Today I did not have school so was a good day to catch up on things for school and TKD and just some personal time.

today was a pretty good day. it was picture day which was the only bad part of the day. all of my classes are going well. I have a math test tomorrow which I hope it goes well. when I came back home I did some homework and then I had to go to my brother football practice. now I am home.

Today was a great day because I got to have no school.so I went to tae kwon do.I had lots of fun. 

The countdown continues until testing and the only question is how you spend your time until then.  I continue to try to balance my responsibilities as a parent, as a husband, and as an employee with the requirements of the cycle and it's not even easy at all.  Throughout the journey, at least one has suffered and I honestly put my TKD last among those because it is important but not as important as caring for my family and making sure that I am doing right by them.  I wish that I had more time in the day to spend but that's not how life works.  We all have a finite amount of time and the only question is how you spend it.  Make sure you are spending it so that you don't have any regrets and you are focused on the most important things in your life.   Only you can...

On Monday, because of the hurricane, I had not school. Luckily, that was the only day that we had no school, so we don't have to make any up. Then on Tuesday, we had school, but then again on Wednesday I have no school for a Teacher Workday, but it is also Yom Kippur. This week is very weird, but I am glad that we have Wednesday off because we just switched from Health to PE and on Wednesday's we have to condition. That means we don't have to condition this week, but that's ok even if we did. I am looking forward to the conditioning activities because that means we won't just be playing sports and games in the gym or on the field. 

Right now I’m heading to Master Evins class right after eating a short snack and it feels weird. After the situation with hurricane Florence I haven’t got to go outside much because of how dangerous it was. Now that I go back to school today it feels to talk to my teachers and friends. I am very glad to go back to school because I’m so used to doing school work or just talking about it. I hope everyone had a great day!!!!!!

Got up early. No school today so took Katherine's car to the dealership for some break work and took advantage of a McDonalds breakfast with the boys. Off to the Doctor's office for John Alexander then shopping for birthday gifts for a friend's  party they have this weekend. Came home and got some work out in and then cooked dinner. Now off to TKD!

I had no school today due to Hurricane Florence. Apparently, Hurricane Florence created a lot of wet and slippery roads which was the reason why school was cancelled. Anyway, let’s get to the point. I woke up and did all my morning stuff, then I did my physical requirements, then I ate breakfast, then I did my studies, then I ate lunch, then I played Fortnite, then I played with my friends, then I went to Taekwondo and when I came back, I ate dinner and then slept. Bye.

Today has been pretty relaxing. I feel super ready for the test. I got to study so I was so happy we didn’t have school today. 

Today was pretty relaxing I just sat at home and did my requirements all day. I also finished up my essays for class 

Today I felt like I was asleep until about 4:00 pm and yes I did go to school. It was really boring and kind of a slump. When I was on my way to class I fell asleep the moment I got in the seat. After about fifteen minutes of being on the highway I woke up at a traffic light and I was suprised to see were I was. I was at the Lake Norman school. All I could say was Well how did this happen.

For cheer today, we practiced on the turf. It was so hot that a few girls on my team got sick. We practiced all of our cheers and dances for our homecoming game. Speaking of homecoming, I am so excited! I'm going with Tanner and I already picked out my dress and shoes. This weekend is also his birthday and our anniversary, so I'm going to give him a big surprise!

Today when I woke up I thought I slept through my alarm clock. So I was really worried but then I was told there was no school today. When I went outside and looked up I noticed that the sky was mostly clear and the ground wasn't to wet. So now I'm here wondering what happened to school. Bye. 9/17/18

Today was a normal day. I woke and did my morning stuff, then I went to school. When I came back, I did my daily ritual and did my physical requirements and then went to Taekwondo. When I came back, I ate dinner, which leads us to where I am now. Bye.

Today was my first day back to school in five days. It felt weird but i have tomorrow off also. In class we went over staff forms and black belt forms.

l'm single once again!  This time for a week.   I should be a chef when my wife returns home this time. I had light breakfast,  English muffin with peanut butter and coffee.   

I get weekends off starting this Saturday. They come so rarely and I only get four of them but better than nothing. I can hardly wait until June 1, 2019 when I'll no longer have to worry about that. Dinners cooked and eaten and we're getting ready for TKD. Cannot believe the boys are off tomorrow. They've been at home more than school for the past couple of weeks.

Today was a pretty good day. today I went to all my classes. today was not really a special day. after school I did my homework and then went to King Tiger. I took sparring which was really fun. after that I had to pick up my brother from football practice. then I came home.

Hurricane Florence did provide me with time to do my requirements this past weekend.  It caused my children's sporting events to be canceled and also prevented me from doing any yard work around my house.  The time was well spent on poomsae and essays.  It also means that I will be twice as busy next weekend!

For those who remember, before there were blogs there were handwritten diaries.  I suppose they are essentially the same in many ways.  However, there is a distinct difference in that diaries were intended to be private or at least for a very limited audience whereas a blog is quite the opposite.  I still find it funny how some people want to share everything about their lives.  I have never been that type which is why I think I prefer the idea of a diary.  It's more of a documented set of notes to yourself for your own use or reflection.  There's nothing wrong with either but I suspect that you may find that people prefer one over the other.  That could make for an interesting survey or psychological investigation depending upon how far you may take it. 

today was the last day before school again. I am not excited for school. I had a great day at tae kwon do it was fun.

Well the 5-day weekend is over. I got plenty of requirements in, though I’m still kinda upset about the impromptu hurricane class, because I missed out on leadership credits. This is gonna be a really short week because there’s no school Wednesday so I have more time to catch up. Now time to finish up that written test!

We still can't go anywhere because of all of the wind and rain from the hurricane/tropical storm. I know that CMS doesn't;t have school on Monday, but my school is still figuring it out, based on what the campus looks like. Either way, if I have school or not, it won't affect me. I will be happy either way. That's pretty much all for today. 

Today was a nice day because there was no rain.  We also did not have school today so it was a relaxing and good day at getting stuff done.  I did some homework, studying for tests, and TKD stuff.  I also had time to relax and take it easy.

Without school, today was very uneventful. I didn't have cheer, but I had Tae Kwon Do. My friend is spending the night tonight and we're going to take her to school tomorrow. I'm so excited! I also started talking to one of my old friends. We haven't talked in a while, but we started talking again today. He's really cool and I'm glad he hit me up.

today was not a very fun day because of florence.but I got to ride my bike. I also did some tae kwon do stuff.

Beautiful day, other than having to work, and I'm glad things didn't get to bad in Charlotte with the storms. I feel for the people near the coast.

today was tiring i didn’t do much but I’m still tired. I just did my normal requirements and went to help out with class but I’m more tired than usual.

Today I tried a different routine in how I approached doing my requirements.   So far it doesn't seem to be working all that well.   I guess I'll just stay focused and do what I have to.  I believe the Dallas Cowboys will win today.

Today was much like yesterday because of Florence i have been inside all day.  So i was very productive i worked on situps and pushups also studied more with flash cards for the TKD test and also the ones i have for school.  Lastly i cleaned my closet and helped cook dinner it was very good!

today was a ok day it started out going no where but that changed we Master Evins sent out a email then my mom remembered we have to go to a birthday party before that we had to go to black belt class and then we went to the brithday party we had lots of fun and now we are back home

Today was a normal day. I did all my morning stuff, then I did my physical requirements, then Kumon, then lunch, then I watched the Panthers game where unfortunately the Panthers lost against the Falcons 24-31. Then I did my Kumon again, then I did my daily ritual, then I ate dinner, then I worked on my essay which takes us to where I am now. Bye.

Today wasn't very productive. I mostly stayed inside all day because there wasn't much else to do. I did my requirements  and that was about it. not much to do when you've been home for many with no school because of a hurricane.

I haven't done anything interesting today but listen to the wind. It sounds like the echo of a drum with the rain being the after effect. I'm still bored but hearing the rain beat against my window is sort of calming. bye.   9/16/18

This hurricane has me in a weird and grumpy mood. It's also got me missing school. We didn't have school on Friday and we don't have it tomorrow. I had my friend over this weekend and she's going to be staying here a few days so that her mom can take care of some personal stuff. I'm trying to help her in any way I can. 

Couldn't log in yesterday so her it is. Got some good workout in and practiced TKD with the family in the basement dojang. Didn't see the notice that there was an impromptu KT class Saturday until 12:45. Would have loved to have gone. Had family over and cooked some spaghetti. 

Yuck! Wet day at work but glad that people mostly behaved themselves and stayed of the roads as well. Got home to catch the 2nd half of the Panthers. That didn't turn out so well. Gotta get in some workout and studying now.

Today was great, well it rained all day but I got my homework done so that was good. Anyway I worked on my written test. We went to the store and it was empty, I mean there was no food! But we got what we needed so that’s all fine. Well the power might cut off so I’ll just leave it at that.

Today began really slow!  Anytime it is a cloudy or dreary day it seems every move I make is related to the weather.  Even a good tme to sleep.   October is fast approaching; 

The weekend is pretty boring. all I did is do requirements and play videogames. I am pretty sure I have school tomorrow. on Friday I went to my friends house for dinner. today and yesterday I am going to do nothing.

Today we had to stay hime all day because hurricane Florence is coming through. So I just did the requirements I could at home

the weekend so far is pretty boring. some schools didn't have school on Thursday and Friday, but my school did. on Friday I went to my friends house for dinner. on Saturday I stayed home and did requirements and played videogames and finished my last essay. I am pretty sure I am going to do the same yesterday today.

today  did a lot of studying.  I also did a practice test.  I worked on the physical part as well.  I think i will do good.  I have 2 tests for school on monday so i had to study for those as well.  Today went by fast because i was heard at work.

Hurricane Florence has halted both school and taekwondo classes for me. While I am unable to leave the house, there are plenty of things to do within the house. Homework, cycle requirements, and chores don't go away, even amidst natural disasters. I have not gotten the bad end of the storm and do not need to evacuate, so I am able to stay on top of the things mentioned.

Today was fun, we had a last minute black belt class with Master Evins. We went over sticks and self defense, it was only 8 people but we had a lot of fun during our "Hurricane Training."

Today was a sit around and do nothing day. But I finished my excersices which was good. Also hurricane training was fun. It rained a lot so I didn’t go outside much, but I got to spend time with my family which was fun. That’s all.

Today I was woken up by screaming to get dressed. I had no idea what was happening until I was outside in a puddle wearing flipflops. After complaining for a minute I realised were I was. Then I had class and it was pretty eventful. Now I'm hear getting ready to run. Bye!   9/15/18

Today, because of the hurricane, we didn't go anywhere. It felt a little weird because everyday I go to at least one place. I was able to do my requirements though, which is good, so I don't fall behind. On Thursday, during my Tennis Match, I think I did something to my elbow, so whenever I bend it in a certain direction, it hurts, but it is getting much better, so I hope by the time the physical test comes, it is healed. 

Today was just like yesterday nothing much happened. I'm going to go walking around but the wind got really heavy. Hope your day was more eventful bye.

So school’s been keeping me REALLY busy, with 5 AP courses (not easy ones), and 2 of them online. I noticed that I’ve been falling behind on some of my requirements and especially the journal entries. 3 weeks left until testing, and I need to kick into super high gear. I don’t have school until Monday so I have plenty of time to get back on my feet, but I’ve gotta work HARD. To the rest of you out there, keep it up, we’re in the homestretch!

Did not have school today.  The weird thing is that I actually did school work for almost all my classes.  I had time to work on TKD stuff.  No black belt class tonight which was a bummer but was able to help out at white belt testing.  Overall a good day but weird.

Today might be the last day I have to do poomsae’s and self defense because I’m almost finished with them. Today I’m staying home instead of going to camp to get stuff done. But I’m going to go to king tiger for black belt class. CANNOT  miss that. Right now I’m adding All the stuff I did today so far with my mom. I haven’t done anything fun yet just working out/taking breaks. I hope everyone has a great evening!!!!!!!

Today school got canceled and it was pretty boring again. So I don't have any thing to write about. Hope you had a more eventful day then me bye.

I began my morning with a hearty breakfast.   I thought Pickleball was going to be on my agenda but my body sid emphatically no!  Hopefully I will be able to do some requirements.   At some point I will have to put mind over body and push forward.  

It has been a few days since I have been able to Journal. Thursday, I had a tennis match at a school that was basically in the middle of nowhere and was about 1 hour away. We finished our match around 8 and by the time I got home, it was 9. I then had to eat dinner and shower. Then only I could start my homework. CMS didn't have school Thursday or Friday, but my school didn't want to just cancel school, so on Friday, we ended up having a Half-Day. I am glad we didn't have no school because then we would probably have to make it up, but there is a possiblility that we could have had E-Learning Day as well. When I was in the car, I found out that CMS doesn't have school on Monday either. I don't really care that much, because I think that...

Spent a little time bringing stuff inside that might blow away or blow around. The boys want to go to the beach so they can see a hurricane. Maybe. Kidding. No. Off to Frida and John's house for a little dinner as soon as my aji (Peruvian hot sauce) is done. Smells good. 

Today was another day that i didn't have school because of the Hurricane on route to our area. Didn't do much today just cleaned up around the house some and mowed the yard. Hope tomorrow will be a little more fun.  

Today was a day were I didn’t have school because of RAIN. Out of all the things to get out of school RAIN is one of them. It makes NO sense to me why I couldn’t spend al whole day of getting a good education because of RAIN. Today I went to camp at tea kwon do and I stayed to assist in testing. My legs feel tired right now because I just completed a mile with my mom( of course not non-stop though). The craziest part of my day is that it didn’t rain at all today. Today i didn't have school, I also wont have school for the next few days because of the hurricane. Today in class we went over the 4 strikes for single stick which was fun and I haven't done those in a long time.

I began my morning knowing we're getting closer to testing.   Thinking about doing more requirements!  I'm very sore but giving my best! WOW!!

Today was pretty good because we got school off so we have a 4 day weekend. I think we’re going to have to make them up but it’s fine because i would’ve had a test today.

This hurricane is causeing so much panic in schools but mine is like “yah there is a hurricane and?” So I have to go to school today and tomorrow so that’s fun. 

As the days continue to roll by without pause, the requirements continue to be a challenge.  My oldest daughter earned her BB several years ago and I am still amazed that she was able to do it with everything else she was doing.  I still hope to earn mine but I certainly have had my doubts simply because I don't feel that I can take the time away from my other responsibilities. 

Really the same school things as always Math, Science, ELA, and Social Studies. Yesterday was so tiring because I had 3 tests that day today I had 2. It is just so crazy but cool in a weird way. Today was and is going to be the only other day that I will have noting to do except doing my requirements and other things for the cycle. It feels weird just doing nothing.Well yeah that is basically all, see you next time.

No school. Yeah!..........................said the boys. Trying to get some studying in for the upcoming test. I think I would have been ready but it is nice to have another week to prepare.

Today I assisted in testing of the lower belts and it was my first time. It was a great experience to know what it is like to be the self defense partner. Today was also a half day at my school so I got out of school 3 hrs. earlier. I did many things at that time before the testing, like push-ups, burpees, etc. My day was very busy, and short. Tommarow and the day after I don’t have school because of the rain, and I don’t like it. Sure I can get ahead on my black belt cycle requirements to do list but I believe school is a lot more important and I enjoy everyday I go to school( partially.) I hope everyone had the best day ever!!!!!!!!

For Health, I am doing a food log and I have found out that I'm not eating enough calories a day. Also, I just finished my quiz and I got a 100%. It was really easy. Yesterday, I went to the orthodontist and got 4 more brackets put on. Then I went to dance and had so much fun! We worked on the Christmas dances. My teacher asked me to do a solo and I didn't even have to audition! She also wants me to be in the group dance with the other teams without needing to audition. I was so happy, I had worked so hard everyday all summer and it paid off.

I haven't done to much of anything today.   I am feeling better than yesterday; not hurting as badly.   I don't plan to   do any requirements .                                                                                       

a lot of talk about the hurricane and some schools being out.  We are still having school tomorrow which is fine.  Weird day because of no TKD classes tonight because of belt testing.  I used that time to get some homework done and do some studying for another test on Friday.  It also allowed me to be able to work on TKD requirements as it is hard during the week with school.
