Candidate Journals

Today was an up and down day for me because I got my progress report card and didn't do well on one of my class. I got an A+ on every thing and then when I came down to my ELA grade I was astonished. It was a 64, which is horrible and three days before the progress report cards came out I had an 97. And now it dropped down like 30%.  I asked my teacher about this and she said I didn't miss anything but when I looked at my Power School I had a missing assignment that I turned in. I even showed my paper and it said 98 on it but on my power school it says 0. So after that I asked her to change it and then she did and it turned out to be a 86. I also got mad because my ELA teacher...

Finally I get to sleep early today. It has been so long. I finished both my tests for tomorrow, and that is it. Tomorrow is an E- Learning day- which means I can sleep in because I don't have to physically got to school, just mentally. That was pretty much my day...I went to TKD in evening as well. 

Yesterday was one of the shortest days I have ever had. In school, classes came and went by fast since their was so many different conferences and meetings my teachers had to deal with. After the "short" school I had, I came back home to finish off all my requirements and homework I had. It is surprising to see how much homework (in total) they give in a week during middle school! After the whole day ended, I had finished all my requirements and homework as I was ready to get some sleep in. I hope everyone has a great day!!!!

I came back from school and did my homework. I then went to Tae kwon do and helped out in family class to get credits. This was actually the first time I went to Tae Kwon Do on a Wednesday because I usually go to church class on Wednesday, but I didn’t have class today so I went to Tae Kwon do. When I came back I did my requirements. Hope you had an amazing day!

happy heart day every one it is that special; day where people confess to their love. they tell the person they like that they like them. the person that Sayed they liked me gave me a rose. I still have the rose on my table and it lights up the whole room. it was so sweet. he got me a single rose and it was so romantic and lovely. it lights up the whole house. actually it lights up my whole life. I love it soo much. he is a really sweet guy with a even sweeter heart. happy valentines day everyone.

Today's a Thursday for me, because I have a work from home on Friday- so I don't need to go to school. I have two tests tomorrow, which I studied for. That was pretty much my day. I am starting to wake up a little earlier to do requirements, and play with the dog as well.

Today I went to sparring class. I got leadership one credit. As soon as I got home I had to get ready. I almost did not make it.

Today was pretty good. I still feel pretty sore, but that's my only complaint. - Hannah  

Today I was at tae kwon do from 10:30 to 3:30. An Olympic gold medalist came.  She taught both the poomsae and sparring seminar. We had to do oh chang, yuk chang, chil chang, koryo and gem guang. When I went to sparring we did not spare.

Yesterday was a normal day at school. I finished a lot of my requirements at P.E. Then i came back home had my dinner and left to Tae Kwon Do. I went in early as my sister is a mentee to one of the other black belts who is testing. I finished all my poomsaes and self-defense before the 6.45pm family class. I helped Family Class and then took my black belt class. Once done i had my mentor session. When i came home it was almost 9.15pm. I was so tired that i went straight to bed. Happy Valentines Day from Los Angeles.  One nice thing about east to west jet lag is that it makes getting up early to workout fairly easy. Done with my workout and still have time to get my morning meditation in.  Possible work changes in the medium distance future I need to meditate on.  All positive thoughts welcome.  

Today was interesting getting the MRI done on my shoulder area.  The noise the machine creates while its taking detailed pics is phenomenal!  Just like if you were on a big construction site.  I'm still able to do a few requirements.

Yesterday was a normal day as I had nothing surprising pop - up during the day. Yesterday was pretty humid and warm, which I was expecting. School was a breeze as I , for once, had not tests!! After school, I came to tae - kwon - do to help out the 5:25 class. Since it was red stripe week, Master Evins made everyone do physical requirements so I got some in to. I couldn't finish all my requirements because of the time I had to do it during the day. I took Hyper after helping that class. In Hyper, we practiced on Staff strikes. Overall, yesterday was a great day!!

Today I got ice cream. I got chocolate. I got leadership 1&2. It was red stripe week. I had a math test and I was so scared. I got a 100%. Today I learned about land and sea breezes. A sea breeze happens in the day. A land breeze happens in the night. It also has to do with high pressure and low pressure.    

I felt somewhat drained of energy today. But I managed to get through the day. I hope I will feel better tomorrow and that this is not sign of the flu that seems to be making its rounds in the office. Now I think it is time to shut down the computer and get a good night's sleep. :-)

Today is Mary's 1/2 birthday, 6 months left in teenage land, then say hello to the 20's! 

today is valentines day. it is the day of love. I love it. I got my teachers some cool good things. happy valentines day to you too.

When I came back from school I had to study for three tests that I have this week. Just too much happening. Then I did my requirements. After I went to Tae Kwon do and took black belt and family class and had a mentor/mentee session. Hope you guys had a great day.

I'm very tired. I was tired to the point, where I said I wasn't going to blog today. I just finished having a meeting and finished studying for a test tomorrow. It has been hard to sleep at night, with my puppy crying so much. He is s tarting to calm down though. It is harder to do push- ups and sit-ups now because the dog literally jumps up on me trying to play. It is pretty funny to watch, nonetheless.  

Today was the 5th grade dance. At first it was boring and I did not dance. Then it got fun. They were finally playing good songs. I was dance and dance. They had donuts, pretzels, cookies and M&M's. It was fun.

Today I ran 2 miles when I got home from school. When I got back we put away our laundry and watched some of the Olympics. We had hotdogs for dinner and then went to class.

Today was a great day. Nate and I got up this morning and headed to King Tiger to help with the 8:45 family class. Great way to start the day. It is awesome to see how much our school continues to grow. It was a pretty big class. Got to work on some sparring combinations, poomsaes, and self-defenses with some yellow and green belts. Then I went to a "celebration of life" for my aunt, who recently passed away. She had an incredible and full life. It was great to hear all the stories and remember her as I remember her. It is a reminder that life is short and we need to live every minute of it. Then I headed to the Poomsae and Sparring Seminar being held at Master Evin's school. It was fantastic. I learned a ton about how we need to be doing the poomsaes (positions, stances, blocks, and strikes), and I learned...

Up at 4:30 for my national sales meeting California workout.  Ok, this is the hard part...now just gotta get my coffee and  get to the gym.  

This morning we got up and had a good solid breakfast. Then I went to the poomsae and sparring seminar which was really cool. I may be too old to ever be an olympic athlete but I can really learn from one. It was a great opportunity and I am glad we went. The evening was spent in the excellent company of my amazing family.

Today was the usual. I came back from school. I did my homework and then started working on my requirements. After I took Jay(my puppy) outside and played with him for a while. Im very excited about tomorrow because I am going on a field trip. Anyways, hope you had a great day.

Today is the day of sun shine because it is Sunday. Which means have a happy smile. All I did today so far is requirements and homework. Yesterday I found out I was in the orange. Today after I finish every thing I will sleep. My sister is going with her friends. I will be at home doing nothing. My mom is doing my hair today it will take 3 hours. My dad said that I had grow I do not believe him. My mom said that I did grow. My mom was doing the laundry and she found chap stick in the laundry it was my dads.       

Today was Ash "Wednesday", really Monday, at our church. It is the same thing has Ash Wednesday, except it is celebrated on Monday. That was pretty much the highlight of my day. I woke up early to play with the puppy, and also got some requirements- but mostly played with the puppy. I didn't have much homework either.  

The start of another work week, keeping the balance of everything is paramount.  Feeling stronger everyday.  Some what tired at times, but seeing results on my physic.  

I have been slacking on the journal entries and logging all my requirements. its just that recently and for a while now I have been sick. its like once I get over being sick, I become sick again with something else. its quite tiring. I'm going to try to get back on my normal schedule soon. 

LONG DAY!   Started at 4:15 am when I woke up.  Got a short aerobic workout in then travelled to California for meetings.  Meetings all week but have my clock set for 4:30 am tomorrow to get my workout in!!

Yesterday was pretty relaxing day for me. I took the whole day to finish my requirements. During the day, I did some homework I had and finished my community service essay. Once I was done with all my "work" for the day, I had the last part of it to myself. I enjoyed my Sunday night by watching the olympics. U.S.A is in the third position for overall medals and I hope they can get to first soon!!! I hope everyone has a great day!!!

Today was a pretty good day. I got a 95 on my science test. That was about it. - Hannah

today at school I am getting ready for the heart day where we all get together and love who we want to love.   happy valentines day everyone

     Yesterday when we went to the store we were originally looking for "Monsters Inc". But they didn't have it. So my sisters found this movie called "When Marnie Was There". When they were watching it today I just got to see a minute of it before I had to do my homework. They told me that it was a sad movie and they cried and "teared up". When I was watching it I thought that it was kind of sad but I didn't cry. But then at the end when Anna was waving to Marnie, thats when all of the sad feelings that a person can feel hit me in the face. It was sad. But I didn't cry. And I also found out that I can quote the whole movie of "Mulan". The useless things I can do amaze me sometimes.

Yesterday was a very tiring day for me as I went out of town. The day was very gloomy and rainy as we went out of town. Still, I got time to finish most of my requirements. Since I never got to talk about Friday in my journals, on Friday, I got to help out the testing. During the testing, I got to see my friends and my sister test to get their new belt. It was amazing to see my best friends become a Bocho - Dan. I hope everyone has a great day!!

Well the weekend is winding down. Sadly. The whole week is going to restart, and it just keeps going in this "endless" cycle. I barely got sleep due my dog whining so much. My throat was hurting after hearing the yell for so many hours. That was pretty much how my day went, nothing else. 

This has been a pretty full weekend, from the seminar yesterday, to pretty much taking care of all of the household duties since my husband had also a two day seminar for work.  And to top it off kept up with my daily routine.  I made holes on the carpet doing poomsaes today, one after the other over and over again!

today i lost a tooth. my dad pulled it out. it is really small and it is now in a bag. yay the tooth fairy is coming tonight. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

  This morning we went to church. We then came home and I started doing my requirements. After that we didn’t do anything else. So we had the whole day to ourselves and the puppy. That was basically my day.

today  we had a big yummy dinner. i got lobster and stake. it tasted really good. 

Today I had to wake up early and go to the poomsae and sparring seminar. We did the poomsae seminar first and I learned a lot from this experience. We did the sparring seminar after. Grand Master was very funny and it was cool to meet an Olympic athlete. She spoke a little bit of English but needed help with translation. Tonight we watched some of the Olympics. We watched snowboarding and saw the American Red Gerard win the gold medal. He was in 11th place and went to 1st. It was awesome.

Got two workouts in yesterday.  Lifted in AM, forms in pm.  Just finished reviewing/learning DBB, 1s dan and 2nd dan self-defenses.  Going to try and get a workout in at gym later today before trip to Calif.

when I got up I had to get ready for class after that I went to a seminar for Poomsae and sparring. I learned a lot about all that stuff. After that I got Smoothie King. Came home played and soon I will eat and then do whatever.

Yesterday was a very fun day. I finished my requirements except my poomsaes and self defense during school due to the fact that I had P.E. School was overall very easy as I had no tests. As soon as I finished school, I came to tae - kwon - do to get ready to run with the red and high - red belts. The run was short and easy comparing to the 3.5 mile run I did for my pre - test. I got dressed and ready to help out the testing after the run. Testing was amazing and extremely crowded as I could barely get through the crowd. I came home tired and ready to sleep after the testing ended. I hope everyone has a great day!!!

It has been a very long work day. I am at a customer visit for work, and I am really trying to take the time to view things from their perspective. I know that sometimes we view things in our own eyes and might not take the time to understand the other side of the conversation. I am truly working to see their side of the coin, but sometimes I just cannot see their position. So, I remain calm and patient, and try to walk through it with them. It is just interesting how people view things so very differently. Sometimes that difference can also spark creativity and become something fantastic, just not today. :-) I am excited because I come home tomorrow and I am hoping to get back in time for Tae Kwon Do class. Well today, I got a puppy. He is very cute, but very whiny when we first put him into the cage. It’s so sad to see dog whine to try to get out the cage, but we can’t let the dog out. That was pretty much the highlight of my day.

This morning we went to go pick up our puppy. After we bring him home I played with him for a little bit. After some time I started doing my requirements.  Later in the evening we are going to a friends house for dinner. Have a good day!

As Fridays go, it has been pretty good. Got the kids off in the morning and got started on work. Working from home today, so easy commute. Finished up work and picked up Nate from bus stop, which I really like to do when I am home. Don't always get to do it. Nate and I went to get our hair cut (Barbers at Birkdale). Then we went start over to King Tiger and ran there. It was just easier than going home and then coming back to Black Belt class. So, we ran, got some exercises in, and got some Mentoring from Master Marcus. Got ready for Black Belt class and had a great class. Got a chance to make up kick combinations for the class. It was challenging to put a combination together that made sense and kept us moving forward in the lines. It was fun. Finished class...

Today I had no homework today since it was Friday. Then I did  requirements for the day. I am now going to go to church. But that's basically how my day is gonna go. Hope you had a great day!

Today I went my brother's testing. He was testing for his red belt. My brother did really well. I am proud of him. After testing we went to Salsarita's. I ate a really big burrito. When we came home we watched the opening ceremony for the winter olympics.

It has been a very long and tiring week. From work early in the morning to gym visits late at night. Later in the week i started to become sick with a with a cough and nasal congestion, which sucks because it’s causing me to not be able to taste anything. Oh and something new that happened. I got a puppy, he is a Rottweiler and turned 9 weeks old last Wednesday.

It has been a good but long week. Today we went to Erik's best testing for his red belt. He was the only one doing Pal Chang so he was all alone and he couldn't hide. He did really well and really showed us all that he has been practicing a lot.

This intro is a like "part 2" from yesterday's blog. The sleeping did help a lot. For those of you studying late night, try not to and get some sleep- because sleep actually helps better. Sleep is proven to help retain information, rather than studying late night and taking the test next day. Anyways, I did great on both tests and that was pretty much my day. When I came home, I had a bit of homework and then started to finish up requirements. The weekend has initiated. 

Today I learned that all next week I am booked. My mom came back today. At 11:37 pm. 

Just had a two hour study session for a AP test tomorrow. So much info. Now I need to sleep and get the info to soak into my brain. Anyways, today was a pretty good day. I got time to finish up requirements and study for 2 big tests tomorrow. I just can't wait till the weekend comes. I need to get some sleep now before all this info. floats away.

Yesterday was a great day. I finished all my requirements towards the evening. I had no tests in school, which made the day easier. After school, my best friends came over as we practiced our poomsaes and self defense together. We all had a great time working together. I hope everyone has a great day!!!

Yesterday was a normal day as everything throughout the day went as scheduled. I finished my requirements after school as I also got in a few push-ups and sit-ups in school. School was like any other school day except at the end of the day, we watched a short video of the Falcon Heavy (the name of a rocket sent to orbit mars) take off. After school, I came home to finish all my homework and requirements. I hope everyone has a great day today!!

I went straight to doing my requirements when I came back from school since I had no homework. I went to dance class at around 6:00. I came back at around 7:30. I am very excited because tomorrow’s Friday and also on Saturday WE’RE GETTING OUR PUPPY!! So I’m very hyped about that! Hope you had a amazing day!

It has been a littledifficult in working my requirements but I haven't given up just yet.  I'm moving a lot slower than I care to but I continue to plug at it.

Today I watched half of the four. Zhavia my favorite did not win. She was my favorite and she did not win so I have to vote for a different person. 

Up at 5:00, meditation done, coffee infusion in progress.   Great to be back into a routine at least for a couple of days.  Off to California on Monday.  Ugh.  Really looking forward to having this travel behind me.

So today it rained most of the day. Luckily it didn't start until after I got back from walking the dogs. Work was mostly uneventful. After I got home I finished up my requirements before dinner. Then I went and did a mentor and a mentee session before going to class. All in all a good day.

TODAY I STARTED TO WRITE MY FIRST  BOOK I CALL IT THE TEST, IT IS A BOOK ABOUT THE GIRL WHO FORGOT ABOUT A TEST AND GETS INTO MANY OTHER THINGS TO BE WORRIED ABOUT.  

Got to spend some nice time with the family, but going out for dinner with cousins as well. We went to Texas Roadhouse, which had pretty good food. I had two tests today, and after that it was just the same old school work. I was able to requirements when I got home, because I didn't have much homework, even though I just finished up reading a book. It wasn't a great book to stay up and read till 11, but it was something. Anyways, that was pretty much my day. 

Feel good about today.  Got work as caught up as it can be, did my requirements, and I'm working on pull ups using the machine at HFFA I'm building up in reducing the assisted weight.

I have been very lax regarding my daily log and numbers. I have got to make it part of my routing, either at the beginning or end of the day. Excuses for not doing so are lame. I hope everyone is enjoying the journey.  PJL CEC 

Yesterday was a travel and training disaster.  Plans to hit the gym after an early flight home turned into not getting home till 10 pm.  Today will be better.  About to head to the gym now to stay on track.

Usually, Tuesdays are one of the most relaxing day off the week, but yesterday was off the charts! I finished my requirements at the end of the day as I had no time to finish them off. In school, I had many tests that I had to finish. Once I finished school, I went to tae - kwon- do to do my mentee session and then to help out the 6:45 class. The students reviewed their poomsaes and self defense during the class, which I got in while helping. In the class, I met a new instructor named Instructor Warren. He is a very good teacher. Then, I took Black Belt class where we did the same thing as the family class, poomsaes and self defense. At the end of the day, I did my mentor- mentee session with my mentor.

Today I learned that I have to go to my Chinese New Year dance. I got a lot of requirements done

I did my requirements for the day when I came back from school. I am now going to church class. Then after class I am going out for dinner with my cousins. Thats basically how my day is gonna go!  

I went to the doctor today concerning my injury.  I was hoping the news would be take a few days off, it will clear up.  I was given a cortisone shot and I will get an MRI on the 13th and we will go from there.  Ha

     Today was a half day at school so I got home around 1:30. Theres an English essay that I have to write and one of the stories is called "The Lottery". I read that short story maybe 6 times and I had no idea what the story was talking about. When I started looking online I found out what the winner of the lottery gets sacrificed for the growth of the crops by getting killed by the other villagers with thrown stones. Its a really  weird thing to read, more or less write a paper on it. So after I figured what it was about, I realized that I had to rewrite 3 paragraphs of the essay because the information does not match. Yay.

Today it rained a lot, from when I woke up to when I had to go home. I also had to run when I came home and there were lots of puddles so I got wet. Other than that I had a good day.

Today we had a half day at school and while we were at school I read the entire time. My teacher didn't get mad at me, so I'm sure it was fine. I half-way done with the book I started this morning because of it. - Hannah

I got to go on a vary fun field trip today. I got really wet though  

Today I had got a leadership credit, a mentor class and a weekday Black belt class. I went to the store and got blackberries. When I came back it was 9:15 and now it is 9:48. I still have to do homework and go to school. I am going to be tried at school tomorrow. 

I didn't have much homework today when I came back from school. So I started to do my requirements- because its better than doing nothing. I then went to Tae Kwon Do, helped out in family and took black belt class. I also did a mentor and mentee  session. I came back home and I am currently studying for a test I have on Thursday. Yesterday was a a normal but tiring day. School was like always except that I had tests throughout my classes. Once I finished school, I went to tae-kwon-do. There, I helped out the 5:25 class where the students did mostly review, so I got in some poomsaes and self defense helping them. Then, I did my session with my mentee right after class. Finally, I took Hyper where we practiced kicks. We also practiced staff strikes using the staff, which will be used for the staff form. When I came home, I was extremely soar and tired from the harsh day I had. Hope everyone has a great day!!

I feel like every week now, I have a test everyday. I am starting to appreciate days where we learn and have no tests the next day. I am becoming more pro at studying though- because I have another two tests tomorrow. It's like in all my journals, I always talk about having at least one test the next day. I honestly can't wait till it is the weekend. Anyways went to BB class after school and homework and that was pretty much it. Also, was pretty excited for the SpaceX Launch, with Musk's Roadster in space- pretty big achievement. 

I was awakened this morning by pain in my shoulder area.  I am not surprised ;  I keep putting it off but I know it's inevitable that I pay the Dr a visit.  So I guess I will toughen up go see him.  Regardless I'll try and do what requirements I'm able to do.

Well... I just watched the Eagles win. It was great to watch the "underdog" win. I do not want to use this journal to talk about football teams and players. However, I look at this particular Superbowl as a life experience. If you work hard, stay calm, and stay focused... you can do anything. This is the same in Tae Kwon Do. I believe I have said this before, but Tae Kwon Do has absolutely changed my life over the years. I know I have come a long away from my days as a white belt, and I am truly blessed to be part of the King Tiger family. I am doing things now that I could have only imaged many years ago. Tae Kwon Do has given me the focus and strength I need to be successful in everything I do... home, work, and just plain daily events. I think the other lesson learned...

Last night was something to remember, we are baby sitting a Rottweiler puppy (9 weeks old).  Adorable, but I forgot how much work puppies are.  He whined all night long, so least to say I had very little sleep.  He is just a baby, so I understand that he was feeling the need to be with someone by his side, so I called Mary to come downstairs and take care of the "Leo" as it's her responsibility to watch over him.  After she came down and slept on the kitchen floor with the puppy all went quiet.  Tonight will be another adventure! 

Routine is important.  I'm out traveling on business this week and being out of my normal routine makes one forget a lot...like making journal entries.  However, I have been getting workouts in.  2 yesterday as I try to get my new self-defenses in my brain.  Been avoiding business dinners and happy hours to keep my diet fairly clean.  About to go do my morning cardio then forms and body weight exercises this afternoon.

I had lots of homework when I came back from school. I tried to finsh as much as I can of my requirements. Still have more to do. I then went to Tae Kwon do and helped out a class, and did a mentor session. That was my day. Hope you had a fantastic day!   

Today my mom left. She left because she had to go to work out of town. When I woke up she was not there. My dad was not there either. My sister woke me up and asked me where my mom and dad where. I had to be honest so I said I don't know. She almost stared crying but, I cheered her up. My brother woke up a hour later and started to annoy me. Then he stared to play Minecraft. My dad soon came back and told me that my mom was on a plane. The rest of the day I did requirements. Today was a good day.

I almost forgot to write my journal for today. That would have broken my streak, but my memory came in clutch like the Eagles. I came home from school at 8pm, which sucked. I had this great service project I had to do for 2 hours after school, then went straight to my volunteer shift. My bed is really taunting me right now, but I have to resist and finish studying. Anyone else want this week to be over, even though it just started. 

I had an awesome time with King Tiger family and the many others doing our community service event.  I also failed to listen to my favorite boss advising me not to try and do too much!  Now I feel more pain.  I'm hoping I can quickly recuperate and finish my pre-cycle. 

     Today in PE we had half the gym playing a game called Tchouckball and the rest in various stations around the gym. One station was a jumprope station. There was a girl in my class that was too close to the wall and when she started jumping the rope knocked the class cover off of the fire alarm and the alarm went off. I probably couldn't have done that better even if I tried.

Today, the 8th grade classes that weren't outside in the modules went to tour Hough Highschool. It was pretty fun. When we got back, our classes were shortened, which was also fun. - Hannah Dubiel
