What Are These Kids Eating?

I returned home today from the funeral I attended out of town this past weekend.  After I unpacked, I went to the Y to get in my requirements.  After the long drive, I was beat, but I was determined to get the requirements in, partly because I'm close to completing a lot of them this week, but also, I figured the workout would help me stay awake so that I could attend Black Belt class tonight.  I knew if I laid down and went to sleep, I wasn't getting back up in time for practice.

Before practice started, I had a good mentoring session with Master Knight.  We went over Yellow and High Yellow Belt Self Defense, Stick #1 and Staff #1.  During practice, something I long thought was pretty much confirmed tonight: 13-, 14-, and 15-year-old girls today are stronger than the ones I grew up with.  During one of the Hapkido drills Master Knight had us doing, I got thrown twice by the young lady who I was partnered with, and I'm pretty sure I outweigh her by at least 60 lbs.  Matter of fact, this same young lady blasted me pretty good during a kicking drill about a month ago.  It's a good thing I was holding a kicking pad because I don't think she realizes how strong she is.
