Today is weird.
Today we have a day many regaurd with reverence.
That reverence is not shared with the younger generation for the reason of overexposure to it.
Th exposure downplays it & due to the time gap with the exposure it's become less taboo.
I learned about this in ap gov as a part of political socialization & life events.
